Faith πŸ¦‹

Almost a year ago my life took a complete turn and in that scene of events is where my faith grew. In the past year I have gotten closer to God and our relationship has grown. I've gotten to know His character, His patience, His love, His guidance, and not only did I learn about Him, but he taught me so much about myself, about my character, and about the kind of person I am. He’s even taught me about the kind of person I could be. I’ve learned about my desires, my strengths, and my weaknesses.

God re-introduced me to myself. That is something that I will always cherish and always be grateful for because before Him I completely lost the girl I knew. The past year hasn’t been completely easy, there have been hard moments too.

In between all that painful change I gained a newfound respect for myself and I gained my Humanity back. Before my relationship with God I was lost in a lot of ways. I was in a very abusive relationship and I really couldn't even tell you who I was outside of what I was going through and I just wasn't in a good place in general. When I had finally decided that I no longer wanted to live that way He accepted me with open arms. Even before all of this our relationship was kind of on and off but he always stayed by my side. He waited for me because He loves me. I can say that God is my best friend and He is everything and more to me.

Part of why I wanted to start this blog was to share my experience of getting to know Him because, I know maybe a lot of people don't agree with certain ideals, or religion in general and at first that scared me because I didn't want to be judged for what I believe in because I know that Christianity does have a reputation in the world and a lot of people write off Christianity and I don't necessarily blame them because, Christianity does have a reputation. Despite that, I know what kind of person I am and I know that I don't judge people for what they believe in and I know that I don't judge the way people live their lives because that’s the opposite of what God would want. God wants us to be loving and accepting of all people and when a person actually knows Him it's very easy to do.

I obviously want this blog to be about more things than one I want to share movies and TV shows, music, fashion, my thoughts and going into my twenties. I'm excited about life in general, but I can't sit here, and act like this new found excitement for life, and for this blog is merely just me. It is because, of God, and I wouldn't be where I am without Him, so of course, I'm elated to share the knowledge that I have, and the love, and faith that has grown within me, and I hope that it does help the people who want it, and that I can be a positive representation of God. I have to accept that there are people who are not going to want to engage in this blog because of my faith, and that's perfectly okay, that's something I can respect and understand. I hope that you can enjoy the other things on my blog though!

So I guess this is the introduction to the faith section of my blog. I'm really excited to share all the things that I've learned about God, about myself, and about faith in general.

Thanks for reading! 🌸
